As the New Year begins it is a good time to evaluate our lives and think to the future- to begin to plan about how we will reach our future goals. What is it that we must do now to make our dreams come true. Our dreams and future goals might be to be a doctor, a librarian or even the President of the United States, but whatever your goals it is never to early to begin to think about how you will commit to reach that goal. President Obama wrote an open letter to his two daughters explaining why he wanted to become President. The letter was published in The Parade Magazine on January 18, 2009. President Obama wrote, "These are the things I want for you -- to grow up in a world with no limits on your dreams and no achievements beyond your reach, and to grow into compassionate, committed women who will help build that world. And I want every child to have the same chances to learn and dream and grow and thrive that you girls have." Your assignment this week is to read, and then respond, to President Obama's letter.
